Actually, you can do anything. Methanol might be in good shape today, but in a few days its market conditions might decline again. People with technical skills aren’t afraid of changing fields; if methanol becomes unviable, they can switch to other chemical industries and quickly become proficient in those areas. If they don’t have such confidence, then pursuing a technical career is pointless. Of course, it’s still best to stick to one’s original field where they are more skilled
There’s only one methanol plant in our area, and the salary they offer is ridiculously low.
