The upgrade system for Tencent QQ is quite interesting. Let me introduce it first, to see if our forum can adopt it: Once you become a QQ member, your level is VIP1, and then the upgrade process begins. The rules for calculating growth points are as follows: 1. The membership growth system currently consists of 6 stages, denoted as VIP1 to VIP6. The specific growth stage depends on the member’s “growth points,” as shown in the table below: Membership Growth Stage VIP1 VIP2 VIP3 VIP4 VIP5 VIP6 Growth Points 0 600 1800 3600 6000 10800 2. The formula for calculating growth points is as follows: S = S0 + 5t1 + 10t2 + 12t3 – 5t4 Where S represents the growth points (with a minimum of 0), and the change in growth points is displayed the next day. ) S0: One-time growth value reward (as a way to thank long-term member users for their continuous support and loyalty, Tencent offered this one-time growth value reward to existing members when the member growth system was launched on 2006-9-7). t1: Total number of days the service has been used using regular payment methods (mobile phones, PHS, broadband). t2: Total number of days the service has been used using Q Coin payment methods (such as personal accounts, QQ cards, payments via phone, or gifts from others). t3: Total number of days the service has been used using online banking payment methods (such as online banks, Tenpay). t4: Total number of days spent not being a member when S > 0; for each such day, S decreases by 5, and no calculation is done when S = 0. For example, if Zhang received a one-time growth value reward of 900 when the member growth system was introduced, and later used his mobile phone, personal account, and online banking to activate the membership for 30 days each over 110 days, with the membership inactive for 20 days, then his growth value S would be 900 + 5×30 + 10×30 + 12×30 – 5×20 = 1610. There are two points from QQ’s level-up system that can be borrowed: 1. QQ’s level is linked to the effective time for internet use. 2. The growth value decreases during non-member time, thereby reducing the level. Based on the above situation and its connection to the forum, I have a preliminary idea that we can discuss together: 1. Ratings are based solely on wealth, but members can convert their wealth into charm on their own in order to raise their level. 2. The appeal of members is linked to time: Growth Appeal Value = T – D (T is measured in hours, with a maximum of 5 hours per day; D is measured in days, representing the number of days away)
It’s a bit like the score calculation formula used in Qing Zong’s signatures. 1 charm is deducted for every 5 days without being online. Last edited by yunfly on 2007-12-28 18:05.]
Hehe, losing 1 charm point every 5 days is a bit too cruel! It seems that many members work hard to build up their charm, only for it to be lost after a few months! I think it’s appropriate to deduct 2 wealth points every 5 days if one doesn’t log in!
Indeed, deducting charm is a bit harsh, but there are loopholes in the suggestions from Bincheng’s engineers. If you don’t plan to be online frequently, convert all your wealth into charm; there is always a minimum amount that can be deducted from wealth, and no further deductions are made once that limit is reached. In this way, the wealth is essentially \"saved.\" Although a tax is charged for such conversion, if the deductions are not too severe, this method is likely to become popular. The vast majority of users on this forum are technical professionals. Project timelines are tight, leaving them with no time to attend to anything else, and those working in different locations must also deal with constraints imposed by environmental conditions. Therefore, it is recommended not to implement a system of point deductions and rank reductions, or at least to keep the scale of such deductions reasonable – for example, deducting 2 points per month if someone does not log in (it’s not clear whether this can be done technically). Otherwise, it will dampen some people’s enthusiasm; the results achieved through hard work in sharing resources and experience will gradually be taken away by time, which is very disheartening. Moreover, it’s not easy to earn money on such forums; posting irrelevant content or repeating existing posts not only doesn’t help but also results in penalties. Therefore, I ask Professor Hai to consider this carefully. This post was last edited by iamsunyue on 2007-12-28 19:07.]
The point deduction system needs to be used carefully; what should I do if I’m on a business trip for a month? . . W won’t it be the end of us if we go back? . . . Many people have to go on business trips, right? . By then, internet access will no longer be under an individual’s control. Last edited by yyong110 on 2007-12-28 19:04.]
To moderator iamsunyue, wealth can be reduced to a negative value! If someone tries to avoid this by converting wealth into charm, the wealth will soon turn into a negative value. If they want to download more data, they must convert charm back into wealth, which means paying a fee once again. I guess most people wouldn’t do that! :lol
This method is not feasible. Is there a compromise solution? For example, set a certain deadline, such as 1 month; if the total time spent within that month is less than a specific amount, points or charm points should be deducted, thereby lowering the rank. Deducting 1 charm point every 5 days is indeed too harsh.
Indeed, the members have far too little charm to withstand such deductions. Mainly, I’m already trapped by Tencent QQ; I’m about to reach VIP3 status. If I don’t continue to renew my membership, I’ll have to start over if I want to become a member again in the future. This forces me to keep maintaining my membership. Therefore, I think our forum could adopt this approach, but we haven’t found a good way to do so. Shall we discuss it?
It can be considered, but it should be done by deducting 1-2 points of charm per month.
It’s more appropriate to use a month as a timeframe; is it easy to earn some points?
