Apart from companies like Sinopec, which have plenty of money to spend freely, those that are currently engaged in the production of biodiesel are essentially gamblers. I’ve seen several such companies, and none of them are profitable; they keep taking out loans and forming partnerships. They all claim to plan to go public abroad – if they do manage to do that and get substantial funds flowing in, then they can continue to spend money recklessly. But if they fail, it’s the end of the line for them! ! !
Is that statement a bit too severe?
Although the original poster’s words are a bit extreme, they do carry some positive meaning. Many domestic entrepreneurs, without understanding the concept of biodiesel, its advantages and disadvantages, or the production processes involved, start making ambitious claims about building biodiesel plants with capacities of hundreds of thousands of tons.
