Currently, only the Second Institute of Chemical Industry is put into production, but the Southwest Research Institute of Chemical Industry and Tianjin First Institute of Chemical Industry can design. The design provided by the Southwest Chemical Design Institute to Shanxi colleagues is expected to be put into production in April next year.
To add, the current manufacturers of methanol from coke oven gas include Yunnan Qujing Yunwei Coking Plant, Shandong Chenlong Coking, Shandong Haihua, etc.
Hefei Third Chemical Research Institute has contracted several methanol projects. I don’t know how they are going.
Nowadays, the production of methanol from coke oven gas is becoming more and more popular. There are 15 companies in the Second Chemical Institute, three in Shanxi, three in Hebei, four in Shandong, two in Yunnan, one in Shaanxi, and two in Inner Mongolia. There are more than a dozen of them under design.

At present, about 30 coke oven gas-to-methanol plants have been put into operation across the country. In addition, the equipment designed by the Second Institute has many problems. When I drove a car in Qinghua, Inner Mongolia some time ago, I found many design problems. For example, there was no pressure gauge where there should be a pressure gauge, and workers were organized to install it before driving. There were also some low-level mistakes that I will not go into here. The Eighth Hospital of Chengdu has design capabilities, and several units are currently being designed.

There are generally two routes for synthesizing methanol from coke oven gas. Shanxi Linfen Tongsida Company adopts the method of hydrogenating coke oven gas and synthesizing methanol from producer gas.； Yankuang International Coke Oven adopts the coke oven gas synthesis route designed by Tianjin First Institute of Chemical Industry, which mainly oxygenates methane to synthesize methanol. The devices that have been put into production so far are basically designed by the Second Institute. Only the Yankuang Institute is made by the First Institute. However, the Third Institute and the Southwest Institute can also do it, and multiple sets of equipment are under design. Our company's device was made by the Second Institute. The original design had many problems and we made a lot of improvements, but it started running smoothly and has basically reached production.

There are many design institutes that can do this.
Nowadays, most of them are mainly done in Shanxi. If they are done by the Second Chemical Engineering Institute, most of them are made of coke oven gas ash fusion. There are fewer coking plants in other places. Now it seems that Wanshida in Linfen has started driving. Take a look when you have time. There is also one in Anze Tangcheng Town. It seems that it will start operating in the first half of this year.
We can do more than just Hua Eryuan. We have been in production here for a year and the profit margin is relatively high. There are many unstable factors in production.
The coke oven gas to methanol project of Heilongjiang Qitaihe Baotailong Company is expected to be put into operation in September, with a scale of 100,000 tons!
