The sample area is a zone designated for focused development in 2008. I took a look at the basic settings of the forum and initially thought that classification might be based on those settings, but I felt that wouldn’t be appropriate. I considered whether classification could be done based on performance and purpose, into the following categories: 1. Material handling equipment 2. Storage tanks 3. Heat exchange equipment 4. Separation equipment 5. Mass transfer equipment 6. Chemical reactors 7. Electrical and instrumentation equipment 8. Others. Suggestions are divided into: 1. Pump section; 2. Fan section ; 3. Piston Compressor Section ; 4. Valve section ; 5. Pressure Fittings Section ; 6. Sealing Material Section ; 7. Industrial steam turbine section, etc.
I think it’s better to organize things according to the specialized departments within the engineering company, such as 1. Process Engineering, 2. Automatic Control, 3. Electrical Engineering, 4. Equipment, 5. Civil Engineering, 6. Utility Engineering
I think it can be divided as follows: 1. Processes: There are many typical samples related to processes; each category can be treated separately and samples for them can be collected through a reward-based initiative to ensure a complete set for each category. 2. Equipment: This area is likely to be quite complex; professionals can be asked to list some examples, and those that are not available can be sought through a reward-based approach. 3. Automatic control electrical instruments: What was mentioned above covers this aspect fairly well; it can serve as a reference. Professionals in this field can be asked to provide sample items, and those that are lacking can be collected through a reward-based initiative. 4. Civil engineering, water supply and drainage, fire protection: These three areas are closely related to each other, so they can be grouped together; their sample items can be compiled together, and relevant experts can be asked to list the required samples for collection. Different design institutes have their own needs, and factories also require certain samples during normal operations; I’m not sure if these have been included. There is overlap, because there is a sample that is useful for all of them. Based on my experience as a moderator of the sample area over the past month, as well as the results of the surveys with prizes, I would like to offer some suggestions for the further development of this sample area! I. Division of sample areas 1. Sample areas can be divided into 6 categories: valves and pipelines, pressure vessels, moving equipment, instrumentation and electrical systems, others, and requests for discussion. 2. The valve piping includes equipment such as valves, pipes, flanges, gaskets, and fasteners ; 3. Pressure vessels include towers, tower internals, accessories, as well as heat exchange equipment, etc ; 4. Moving equipment mainly includes pumps, fans, compressors, and other such devices ; 5. Instrumentation and electrical equipment are classified as Category 1, while other equipment and parts are classified as Category 1 as well ; Additionally, request and discussion posts are classified in a separate category. The specific names and details of the aforementioned types can be simplified, changed, or adjusted as appropriate. II. Posting Guidelines 1. Except for the help and discussion sections mentioned above, posts must be of the type that shares resources. The title of the post must be properly formatted, indicating the manufacturer, equipment, and model number (the model number is not required); for example, “Zhenjiang-U-type valve – zxxxx model selection guide”. Posts that do not meet these requirements will not be scored. The poster will be notified via a message or warning to make the necessary changes; if there is no response within 3 days, the post will be moved to the recycle bin. 2. The content of the main post should be standardized, following this format: Name: Manufacturer: Type: Purpose: 3. Standardization of replies: Meaningless replies are not allowed (this applies also to posts sharing resources); otherwise, it will be considered spam and result in points deduction.
