At present, clean production isn’t mandatory for companies; only those whose emissions exceed the allowed limits are required to undergo mandatory audits for clean production. If company owners are truly shrewd, they will realize that clean production can save them a lot of money, bring economic benefits, as well as better environmental and social benefits. Energy conservation is merely one component of clean production.
