This is an acid water stripping tower that removes H2S and NH3 from the acid water in various units through distillation. I’m not sure why, but the pressure at the top of the tower has been fluctuating quite significantly these days, and occasionally it exceeds the specified range. Although there have been some fluctuations since work started, they have been particularly evident these past few days. It’s mostly from morning to 2 or 3 p.m. What are all the possible causes of pressure fluctuations at the top of the tower? Please give your advice~~~~ This post was last edited by DACjunlin Tianxia on 2009-1-31 05:06.]
What type is the pressure guide tube? The level gauge in one of our tanks uses a silicone oil pressure transducer; its readings fluctuate significantly between 9:00 and 15:00 every day, but remain stable at other times. The instrument technician later explained that this was caused by the direct sunlight hitting the pressure transducer. A sunshade has been added now, and it makes a big difference. As a supplementary note: this level gauge is a modified differential pressure type level gauge.
Is it caused by large fluctuations in the steam pressure of the reboiler? !
Reasons for fluctuations in the top pressure of the tower: 1. Bottom temperature: Fluctuations in the steam pressure of the reboiler or variations in the gas flow from the reboiler. 2. Changes in the temperature of the cooled vapor at the tower top: Fluctuations in the air cooler or water cooler affect the top pressure. 3. Feed: Changes in its composition, temperature, and flow rate
It is recommended to first verify whether it is a problem with the secondary meter. If there is no issue, the following measures are suggested: 1. Ensure constant temperature of the cooled vapor from the stabilizer tower. 2. Monitor the tray pressure drop to rule out internal component failures. 3. What are the temperatures in each section of the pressure increase tower? 4. Monitor changes in the components and flow rates at the top of the tower, as well as changes in the raw materials. Exclude the influence of raw materials/
