The invention of Nanjing University of Technology relates to a method for preparing highly transparent and high-gloss polypropylene, especially a method for obtaining a highly transparent and high-gloss polypropylene by generating a transparent nucleating agent in situ through the in-situ reaction of rosin-based resin acid and higher fatty acid salts. It is made by melting, extruding and granulating 100 parts of polypropylene, 0.1-0.8 parts of rosin-based resin acid, 0.1-0.8 parts of higher fatty acid salts and 0.1-0.3 parts of antioxidant at 190-210°C. The required nucleating agent is generated by in-situ reaction of rosin-based resin acids with higher fatty acid salts during processing. The method is low in cost, easy to implement, and pollution-free. The products produced have high transparency and gloss, the tensile strength and stiffness are improved, and the products will not produce odor or yellowing.
