This is definitely reasonable. The name \"safety filter\" itself indicates that it is designed to serve a protective function. Especially continuous ultrafiltration or continuous microfiltration, which are often used these days. Does it work? In my opinion, it has mainly two functions: 1. It prevents the deterioration of water quality in case the ultrafiltration membrane fibers break, thereby reducing contamination of the RO membrane. 2. Reduce the risk of secondary pollution, especially in such systems.
The question is a bit vague. 1. Ultrafiltration, as the main process, combined with security filtration, is necessary to enhance the stability of water quality in the system. What was said on the 2nd floor is very good. In the pure water production process, a microporous filter is also typically used as a final safety filter before the water is sent to the points of use. 2. As a pretreatment process, such as when followed by RO, safety filtration is essential; it can protect the RO membrane and high-pressure pump from damage caused by potential suspended particles.
