In HTRI, how are the parameters set when designing a thermosyphon heat exchanger? Is the setup done in detail within the Piping module or in a simplified manner, in order to calculate the installation height of the thermosyphon reboiler? Also, is the installation height of the thermal siphon reboiler calculated or determined in advance?»

The installation height is determined based on the normal liquid level of the tower. Generally, for a thermosyphon heat exchanger, the height of the upper tube sheet being lower than or at the same level as the normal liquid level of the tower ensures circulation without flooding the heat exchanger!
