In HTRI, how are the parameters set when designing a thermosyphon heat exchanger? Is the configuration done in detail within the Piping module or in a simplified manner, in order to calculate the installation height of the thermosyphon reboiler? Also, is the installation height of the thermal siphon reboiler calculated or determined in advance?»

Some manuals provide empirical formulas for the installation height of thermal siphon reboilers. Has Micro-bro checked the accuracy of this little thing?
I’m sorry; I haven’t conducted in-depth research on this aspect~^_^
This is beyond the scope of your job; I don’t deal with this either, so I don’t want to go through the calculations. I’m just asking out of curiosity – who knows, maybe we might find something valuable after all, hehe.
When several horizontal thermosyphon reboilers are used in parallel, how should the fitting units be entered in the piping layout?
I have a question; In an htri, a horizontal thermosyphon reboiler – can the cold-side fluid flow in either the shell side or the tube side? I read in books that the cold-side fluid flows on the shell side, but in practice, it usually flows on the tube side. Why is that? :o
A simple setup can be used; just enter the pipe diameter and equivalent length. But setting the details is rather troublesome to use, especially for multiple devices connected in parallel; I’ve never figured out how to enter them. However, HTRI can provide detailed information on the reboiler pressure drop (including the inlet and outlet nozzles); for the inlet and outlet pipelines, other software can be used to calculate their pressure drops, and the results from both can then be combined.
