Two super-large coal crushing pressurized gasification units, designed to support China’s major science and technology project for converting coal into oil, were completed on the 28th at Taiyuan Heavy Industry Group in Shanxi. These are currently the largest fixed-bed pressurized gasification units in China and even in Asia. These two pressurized gasification units are key equipment supporting China’s coal-based synthetic oil demonstration project – the Shanxi Lu’an 160,000-ton/year coal-based synthetic oil project. They supply raw material gas to the synthetic oil production facility, with a coal processing capacity of nearly 500 tons per day, and offer advantages such as high gasification efficiency and strong gasification capacity. It is understood that coal pulverization pressurized gasification technology is currently the most mature and widely used gasification technology in industry. Taichong Group was one of the first enterprises in China to produce coal chemical equipment such as gas generators. Taking these products as a starting point, Taichong managed to develop complete sets of components including internal parts, lubrication systems, automatic control systems, and transmission systems, becoming the only enterprise in China capable of producing complete sets of coal gasification furnaces using crushed coal under pressure.
