Dear experts, what are the requirements for the piping at the inlet and outlet of a metering pump in order to reduce damage to it?
Does anyone have any photos of metering pump piping? Please feel free to share them!
There must be a connection line for import and export, and a safety valve must also be installed at the outlet.
1. The inlet should be equipped with a filter, and this filter should be at an appropriate distance from the inlet. 2. The outlet should have damping devices to reduce pressure fluctuations, as well as pressure gauges and drainage facilities. 3. The diameter of the inlet pipeline should be one size larger than that of the outlet pipeline. 4. The outlet pipeline should be fitted with a flow meter
The inlet and outlet temperatures of the metering pump I have installed reach 200–280 degrees; what type of damping device should be used in this case? The selected metering pump is 2J-D-3150/0.6, with one in use and one as a spare; the inlet pipe has a diameter of DN50, while the outlet pipe has a diameter of DN40. Wave-shaped expansion joints DN40 have been installed on the outlet pipeline; there is no filter at the inlet, and fixed supports have been added, but the vibration in the inlet and outlet pipelines is still very severe! It leaks all the time!
Are the import/export connection lines and export flow meter necessary? The check valve can be omitted, right?
