Development of new coking technologies abroad In order to meet the demand for high-quality coke from large-scale blast furnaces and coal injection technology, as well as considering the shortage of high-quality coking coal resources worldwide, new coking technologies are being developed abroad, including technologies to reduce environmental pollution from coking production, continuous coking processes to improve production efficiency, reduce other by-products other than gas, and convert gas into steam and electricity, or technologies for the reduction of iron ore and technologies to increase the proportion of non-caking coal in coking coal materials. SCS coke ovens have made breakthroughs in terms of ultra-large size, high efficiency, and expansion of coking coal resources. The coke oven adopts the preheated coal charging method. Since the coal density can be increased to 850kg/m3, the reactivity can be increased by 4 to 10 percentage points, and the post-reaction strength can be increased by 2 to 4 percentage points. While greatly increasing the coking production capacity, the coke quality is also significantly improved. The development direction of new coking technology in my country is as mentioned above. In the next few decades, coke will still mainly serve the steel industry. In view of the large investment in new coke and the actual situation that my country's coal resources are mainly high-volatile gas coal, the development of new coking technologies in my country should be developed in the direction of rational coal blending and new coal pretreatment technologies (such as tamping, blending, preheating, blending additives, etc.), so as to provide sufficient quantity and high-quality coke for the domestic and foreign steel industry, which not only expands coking coal resources, but also eliminates or reduces environmental pollution. At present, my country's coking industry is conducting research on new coking technologies and has developed some practical technologies for use in coke production. 1. Develop tamping coking technology 2. Adopt coking technology with additives 3. Coking technology with briquettes 4. Develop coal humidification (CMC) technology 5. Application of other new coking technologies This post was last edited by ryn on 2009-3-15 15:41 ]
