If imported ones are used, the cost per unit mass flow rate varies significantly. After all, mass flow meters with high flow rates are quite expensive. The feeding time might be similar.
When using a flow meter, it is essential to choose a reliable one; this is especially true for initiators, as too much or too little of them can lead to serious consequences. In my opinion, the weighing method is the safest approach.
