The scale of ammonia synthesis plants is becoming increasingly large. Does anyone know what the size of the largest ammonia synthesis plant is at present? 500,000 tons?
Is it a single series or multiple series?
More or less, that’s the scale for a single series!
Single series; in 2000, there was a plant with a capacity of 2000 MTPD, which equates to about 600,000 tons. The design capacity can reach 3,000–4,000 MTPD per series
The largest single-series plant in the world today is the ammonia synthesis plant with a production capacity of 2,150 tons per day, built in Argentina in 2000.
