In a coal gasification unit, should you choose a screw pump or a centrifugal pump for the mud pump under the clarification tank of the black water treatment unit? What are their advantages and disadvantages? :victory: :lol
Our original choice was a centrifugal pump with frequency conversion.
Mud pumps generally choose screw pumps. The viscosity of the medium transported by the screw pump is high, which can reach 200000mm2/s. The screw pump is a positive displacement pump, with a small flow rate of the conveyed medium and a large lift. When the viscosity is greater than 650mm2/s, the performance of the centrifugal pump drops greatly, and it is generally not suitable to use a centrifugal pump. However, because the centrifugal pump infusion has no pulsation, does not require a safety valve, and has simple flow adjustment, centrifugal pumps are often used to transport liquids with a viscosity greater than 1000mm2/s in chemical production.
Personally, I feel that I should choose a screw pump to transport mud because the viscosity is too high.
Personal humble opinion: Choosing domestically produced high-efficiency wear-resistant slurry pumps (such as those produced in Shijiazhuang) can meet the requirements, is cost-effective, has a wide range of choices, and is easy to maintain. The imported single-screw mud pump has better initial results, but later maintenance is difficult.
Not sure what a screw pump is. We chose a multi-stage centrifugal pump.
The slurry pump produced in Shijiazhuang is very cost-effective, has extremely low maintenance costs and is reliable in operation.
