Knowing CAD is one of your strengths; mastering industry standards and certain principles are essential skills. Personally, I suggest trying to obtain some of the original design plans and documents from your own organization; these are very useful. You should review them repeatedly, think about how others designed things, identify any unreasonable aspects or outstanding features, and be diligent in making summaries. But to be honest, it would be much better if there was a mentor to guide you. But everything has two sides; if one relies solely on a mentor, it’s possible that one will never be able to design independently (for small projects). In the end, when facing design tasks, one must consider the beginning, the end, and potential consequences in order to keep improving. True skills are only considered acquired when they become part of one’s own abilities. Just my opinion. . . . .
