For the design of long-distance pipelines, selecting an appropriate insulation layer not only ensures normal transportation but also reduces the inlet temperature of the pipeline and energy consumption, thereby guaranteeing safe transportation. I checked, and there are quite a few discussions on the forum regarding the calculation of economic thickness, but no systematic materials available for reference in terms of design. Are there any relevant books, codes, standards, or anything similar available at present? Thank you

I still design it based on economic considerations, referring to commonly used materials.
Generally, acrylic polyurethane foam plastic is used, in accordance with the \"Technical Standards for Protective and Insulating Coatings of Buried Steel Pipes Made of Rigid Polyurethane Foam\" (SY/T0415-96). \"Code for On-site Repair and Acceptance of External Anti-corrosion Coatings and Insulation Layers of Buried Steel Pipelines\" (SY4058-93).
