Transporting oilfield gas in a liquid-gas mixture, but with hydrogen sulfide present in the gas – it’s really risky to place all hopes on anti-corrosion measures for the pipelines and on welding them later on. . . . The production targets are high and there’s no time for desulfurization – do anyone have any good suggestions?
If transportation takes place without desulfurization, problems will inevitably arise over time. Relying on corrosion protection and pipeline welding is not a realistic solution, as there are many uncontrollable factors; the pipelines will eventually develop perforations. The solutions include investing heavily, using stainless steel pipelines with good corrosion resistance, or employing pipelines and valves made of resin.
