Our Yankuang Guohong 50WT methanol plant has finally gone into operation – I’m so excited! The first in the country to use high-sulfur coal, and the first in the world to be environmentally friendly. I think we have an increasingly bright future ahead of us. By the way, I’d like to praise our President Liang – he is very capable; thank you.
Could you tell me what vaporization technology you use?
This project utilizes GE’s water-coal slurry pressurized gasification technology. It uses high-sulfur washed coal from Yankuang Beisu along with coal slime as raw materials, and employs 900 cf gasification furnaces (with a diameter of 3.2 meters), two in operation and one as a backup, to carry out the gasification process at a pressure of 6.5 MPa. The actual capacity of these gasification furnaces is sufficient to produce 600,000 tons of methanol per year.
Congratulations. What are the specific technologies and measures considered environmentally friendly?
President Liang doesn’t seem to be very good: he’s too conservative in terms of technology. If you eat your fill by yourself, there are still many poor people across the country who have nothing to eat. I hope you can provide more information about your technologies, so as to raise the overall technical level of equipment in this industry and simultaneously enhance Guohong’s reputation.
