The standard specifies 12 scenarios for scrapping, detailing the criteria for scrapping such as broken wires, wear, corrosion, and deformation.
The replacement standard for a steel wire rope is when the number of broken wires within one lay length reaches 10% of the total number of wires in the rope; When the wear or corrosion of the steel wire rope exceeds 10% of its original diameter, it should be replaced with a new rope. For details, please refer to Tables 1-9 and 1-10 on page 45 of \"Safety Production Technology\" (the 2005 edition of the safety examination textbook)
I also have the book, but I’m not quite clear on what the concept of \"1 twist pitch\" means. Could you explain it in more detail?

The \"one lay pitch\" of a steel wire rope refers to the distance between two corresponding points on each strand of the rope as it rotates one full circle (360 degrees) around the core. During measurement, select any strand on the surface of the steel wire rope that is parallel to the diameter passing through the center line of the rope and mark it as 1; then mark the subsequent strands as 2, 3, 4, 5, …, and for a rope with six strands, mark them up to 7.
