The circulating water system will increase the salt concentration in the water due to wind blowing (average loss is 0.15%), evaporation (average loss is 1.2%), etc., which leads to the concept of concentration rate. Concentration rate = a certain indicator concentration of water quality in the system/the same indicator concentration of supplementary water quality. The indicators here usually refer to solid solution, potassium ions, chloride ions, etc. In order to maintain the balance of the total amount of indicators, the total amount of the above indicators in the replenishing water should be equal to the total amount of the circulating sewage indicators. Suppose the replenishing amount is v1 and the total indicator amount is m, then the index concentration is a1=m/v1. The circulating sewage amount is v2 and the total indicator amount is m, then the indicator concentration is a2=m/v2. Therefore, the concentration ratio of the circulating water system = a2/a1 = v1/v2, which is the quotient of the water supply volume and the wastewater discharge volume. From the perspective of water conservation, we hope that the concentration ratio of circulating water should be as high as possible.
