The ones that have received **recognition include the coal-to-oil projects of Shenhua, Yankuang, Lu’an, and Inner Mongolia Yitai. Shenhua, Lu’an, and Yitai all use technology developed by the Institute of Coal Chemistry under the Chinese Academy of Sciences, while Yankuang employs its own technology. Which project do you think is most likely to be successful? . Note $ # , $ $

Is the message reliable? I always feel that the feasibility of direct liquefaction is vastly different from that of indirect liquefaction!

Personally, I think they can all succeed. With so much investment and advanced technology, products should be able to be developed; as for the benefits, that will depend on the future oil market.
1. All companies have carried out extensive technical preparations and invested large amounts of capital; therefore, the production of oil products should not pose any problems in my opinion. 2. In terms of progress and **support, Shenhua may have an edge; President Hu only visited the Shenhua site before the New Year, and the hydrogen production facility using SHELL gasification technology has been mechanically completed, with commissioning work currently in progress. 3. In my opinion, the future challenges to the operation of these devices stem mainly from two aspects: one is the international oil prices, which determine their economic prospects, and for now there is no need to worry too much about this issue ; Second is the long cycle time of the plant operation, as some of these technologies are being applied for the first time in industrial plants.
For direct liquefaction, it’s obviously Shenhua – they will start feeding materials soon.
Shenhua has a good chance of success. Of course, we hope that all companies will be successful; this would not only demonstrate the significant achievements of Chinese researchers but also help to alleviate the shortage of energy resources!
Inner Mongolia Yitai’s coal-to-oil project
Shenhua’s 10,000-ton industrial demonstration plant has been successfully commissioned, and the larger plant is set to go into operation this year!
Shenhua has the highest chances of success. Its hydrogen production facility using SHELL’s gasification technology has been mechanically completed; SHELL’s technology is excellent, and I have great confidence in it. It should be able to start operating this year. Additionally, Shenhua raised over 60 billion yuan from the stock market last year, giving it strong financial resources and ample potential for further development. Once the million-ton-per-year production facility is up and running this year, that will serve as the foundation for its continued success
So much money has been invested in Shenhua’s project, and the facilities are constantly being improved; large-scale production is likely to begin by the end of this year or early next year. . .
The coal-to-oil project of Shanxi Lu’an Group (Changzhi, Shanxi) started in 2005, and trials were conducted in Tunliu last year; it should be progressing quite quickly!
It should be Shenhua; with **support, everything is possible, and it has priority.

Success is inevitable; no company can afford to let such a large investment go to waste, but there will be many difficulties. With deification, there is **support**, so difficulties can likely be resolved more quickly and it becomes easier!
The construction at Shenhua’s site in Inner Mongolia is 99.x% complete; according to the site manager, testing will take place in July 2008. Additionally, the PDU projects at Shenhua Shanghai have been very successful since the end of last year; it can be said that all technical issues have been fully resolved. Shenhua’s million-ton direct coal-to-oil project will surely be ahead of other domestic companies in terms of scale and production. Furthermore, Shenhua’s indirect coal-to-oil process seems set to follow closely behind, and it is very likely to perform exceptionally well. I expect Shenhua will surely gain a dominant position in the field of coal-to-oil conversion. Furthermore, based on various reports, Yankuang’s indirect coal-to-oil process should also have significant advantages. Other companies are not very clear about this; given high oil prices and a significant oil shortage today, the technical and economic viability of coal-to-oil technology should be quite good. Especially companies like Shenhua, which possess a variety of advantageous resources, must succeed; otherwise it’s only possible if there are major decision-making mistakes within the company.
I began to pay attention to Shenhua’s direct coal-to-oil technology in 2005, and I was once concerned about it, as after all this was the first instance of large-scale industrial application of direct coal-to-oil technology in the world. At that time, it seemed there were many technical issues that needed to be resolved. It can be seen that through its own efforts, Shenhua has successfully resolved numerous technical issues by utilizing the PDU devices in Shanghai; it is said that all the movable components of these PDU devices were replaced, which helped to address many key technical problems related to the equipment and the manufacturing processes. It is worth celebrating
Personally, I think Shenhua has the best chances, but as a Chinese person and considering China’s current energy situation, I hope all these companies will succeed.

The prerequisites for success are, first, a scientific design; second, a competent management team; and third, a team that is skilled in operations. This task has a somewhat gambling-like character, but it seems possible to determine a winner just by looking at it.
