What is coal chemical engineering? Coal chemical industry is the process of using coal as a raw material and undergoing chemical processing to convert it into gaseous, liquid, solid fuels as well as chemicals. Based on the coal processing methods, they mainly include: carbonization (including coking and low-temperature carbonization), gasification, liquefaction, and the production of synthetic chemicals. According to statistics, 32 basic products can be manufactured, 58 products can be produced through direct further processing of various items, and 22 products can be developed by combining the resources of different items horizontally. Among the production technologies available in coal chemistry, coking is the earliest applied process, and it remains an important part of the chemical industry to this day. Coal gasification plays an important role in coal chemical industry; it is used to produce various gaseous fuels and represents a clean source of energy that helps improve people’s living standards and contribute to environmental protection ; The syngas produced by gasification is a raw material for various products such as synthetic liquid fuels. Direct coal liquefaction, namely coal hydrogenation liquefaction under high pressure, can produce synthetic oil and chemical products. During oil shortages, liquefied coal products will replace current natural oil. This post was last edited by ali2004 on 2008-1-7 08:56.]
