In the absorption tower used in the non-hydrogenated gasoline upgrading process at our company, cooling is achieved by using chilled water. A cooling system consisting of two chiller units has been installed; these chillers, produced by Dalian Chiller Factory and using R-22 as a refrigerant, are capable of cooling the circulating water to 7 °C. The performance of this system is quite good. The principle behind it is simple: heat exchange takes place between the chilled water and the circulating water, and ordinary plate heat exchangers can be used for this purpose
If you search for chiller or ice machine on Baidu, many results will appear. As for the drawings, cycle cooling water can be used; however, the piping equipment needs to be insulated. Some of the better manufacturers include York, Carrier, Trane, and Dalian Iceberg. It’s best to calculate the cooling capacity yourself so you know the figure. If you find it troublesome, simply contact the manufacturer and provide them with your process parameters; they can help you make the selection.
The most common method of cooling involves a compressor that compresses the refrigerant, followed by expansion and evaporation to absorb heat and thus achieve cooling. For the several suppliers recommended upstairs, York, Carrier, Trane, Dalian Iceberg are all viable options; McQuay is another option as well. You can do a simple estimation and provide the supplier with the total cooling capacity as well as the temperatures of the outlet and return water. That’s it.
