Which software can simulate a sedimentation tank? ?

It is recommended that the original poster explain the issue in more detail, as people are not in the same industry; we don’t quite understand the functional role and mechanism of the sedimentation tank you mentioned. . . . . .
It is a liquid-solid separation device that uses gravity sedimentation for separation; it’s the type of equipment covered in courses on chemical engineering principles. It seems that current software can only simulate centrifugal separation devices, as I haven’t seen any software for simulating gravity sedimentation

I personally think it’s not very appropriate to use software to simulate gravity sedimentation tanks. The reasons are as follows: 1) Gravity settling is a purely physical process, while these chemical process simulation software tools specialize in simulating chemical unit processes; therefore, what I want to ask is, what do you hope to achieve through software simulation? 2) The effect of gravitational settling depends entirely on the particle size and flow velocity. One of the key reasons why software can bring us convenience is its powerful database resources. If you wish to use software to simulate the settlement process, it’s not entirely impossible; you need to provide the software with sufficient input so that the results obtained are reliable. 3) The calculation of gravitational settlement is essentially just a matter of using formulas; by entering the formulas in Excel, setting the parameters, and inputting the specific values, the result can be obtained quite quickly.
