Does anyone know what a \"rainwater control room\" is used for? On the blueprints, there are always rooms labeled as “deluge valve rooms”; I’m not sure what they are used for. Thank you all!
The installation requirements for the deluge valve chamber stipulate that the water filling time for the distribution pipes of the deluge system should not exceed 2 minutes. The deluge valve rooms are arranged in a concentrated manner in accordance with the building layout; multiple such rooms can be installed as close as possible to the areas they are meant to serve, in order to reduce the water filling time and enable rapid fire suppression.
Towers or storage tanks in chemical plants that produce or store hazardous substances are usually equipped with spray nozzles around them; water is sprayed in case of an emergency, and the device that controls this process is located in the \"deluge valve room\".
In the production facilities of our company, the spray nozzles in several towers are all controlled by PLCs to operate the spray valves; there is no such thing as a \"spray valve room\". There is still much that needs to be learned
We have also installed new rainwater valve rooms; these involve the assembly of various automatic valves that are connected to the sprinkling pipelines, enabling centralized management and easier maintenance
It is estimated that there are many circuits controlled by the automatic fire suppression system; each system has its own deluge valve, and the deluge valves of multiple systems are arranged together in a separate room, which is why it is called a \"deluge valve room\" – there is no other meaning to it.
Our company’s foam fire suppression system uses three deluge valves, but they are all located next to the warehouse and not centralized together.
Are there any relevant regulations that require the installation of a deluge valve room? Can it be shared with other pump rooms, or must it have its own separate room? Thank you!
