You get what you pay for! The OP series are octylphenol polyoxyethylene ethers. Currently, the price of octylphenol is around 19,000 yuan per ton, while the price of ethylene oxide is 18,000 yuan per ton! Regardless of their molar ratio, the price should be above 17,000 yuan per ton! OP-7 is insoluble in water, but it is soluble in alcohols and aromatic hydrocarbons; currently, the price of aromatic hydrocarbons has also reached 5,000 yuan! The OP-7, priced at around 5,000 yuan per ton, should have a concentration of about 10%; the solvent is likely a mixture of methanol and water (water is compatible with methanol!)
