What should be the appropriate number of posts in the forum section? – Members with moderator status are invited to participate in the discussion

Today, the forum has a larger user base; it experienced rapid growth in 2007, with new sections being introduced continuously. To foster its development, these sections actively strive to attract posts. I feel ashamed to have introduced some non-classical themes in certain sections. Looking back now, I notice that the number of posts in one section is increasing rapidly, and it really takes some time to go through them all. It is even more impossible to participate in other sections; as a result, it is very difficult to conduct discussions on various aspects. So, how many topics should a section have? Is it true that the more claims there are, the better? Does a pile of posts mean success? Individual posts from each category can be sorted out; request-for-help posts with similar themes can be combined. (It felt great on Wanke yesterday.) It’s easy to get started when there are few items to deal with, as the workload is low. But once things pile up, it becomes very difficult to organize them. Proposal: Introduce rewards for consolidating forum posts similar to this one; all members can search for them, and the topic links should be reported to the moderators of each section and forum board, who will then handle the consolidation. It is advisable to keep the total number of posts in each sub-section of the forum below 1000. The topics within each sub-section should be further categorized; for example, some sub-sections can be set up for resource sharing, such as an S-version or a techniques version. I’m organizing posts that have been around for a long time; some of them haven’t received any attention in years, so posts like these can probably be deleted. Those with no browsing history or no responses within two years should be deleted.
Normally, I think 20 to 50 posts would be appropriate, which is during the mature phase of a forum. If it is still in its developmental stage, there might be fewer participants or limited technical capabilities, so the number of posts should be kept between 10 and 20. What matters is the quality of the posts, not their quantity; too many meaningless posts can dilute important topics and hinder the development of the forum.
