Coal gasification technology has been widely used in ammonia, urea, and methanol projects. In terms of boilers, especially thermal power generation is basically in its infancy, and the recently popular IGCC project falls into this category. The main dry coal pulverized pressurized gasifiers put into operation in China are shell furnaces, but their operation is not very good. There are many other dry pulverized coal gasification technologies under development, most of which have not been industrialized. The most commonly used and relatively mature technology is coal-water slurry pressurized gasification technology. Representatives include the texaco gasifier and the four-nozzle gasifier of East China University of Science and Technology.
