Notice on Issues Concerning the Passing Standards for the 2007 Qualification Examination for Registered Engineers in Surveying and Design -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Document No. Guoren Ting Fa [2007] 202 To the Personnel Departments (Bureaus) and Construction Departments (Construction Commissions, Planning Commissions) of all provinces, autonomous regions, and municipalities directly under the Central Government, as well as the Personnel Bureau and Construction Bureau of the Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps: Based on the statistical analysis of the results of the 2007 Qualification Examination for Registered Engineers in Surveying and Design, and after consultation with relevant departments of the Ministry of Construction, the passing standards and related issues are hereby notified as follows: I. Basic Examination The passing standard for the basic examination for registered engineers in all specialties is 132 points: victory: (The full score for each exam paper is 240 points). II. Professional Exams 1. The passing score for the professional exams for Level 1 and Level 2 registered structural engineers is 48 points (with a full score of 80 points for each exam). 2. The passing standards for the professional examinations for registered engineers in various specialties (except for first- and second-class registered structural engineers) are shown in the table below: Sequence Number, Title, Professional Examination, Subject Knowledge, Full Score for Subject Knowledge Test, Professional Case Studies, Full Score for Professional Case Studies Test. 1. Registered Public Equipment Engineer – HVAC: 120; both scores are 200 points, with 60 points for the professional case studies test. 2. Water Supply and Drainage: 104, 52. 3. Power Engineering: 120, 60. 4. Registered Electrical Engineer – Power Transmission and Transformation: 120, 60. 5. Power Supply and Distribution: 120, 60. 6. Registered Chemical Engineer: 120, 60. 7. Registered Environmental Engineer: 120, 60. 8. Registered Civil Engineer – Geotechnics: 120, 60. 9. Ports and Waterways: 120, 60. 10. Water Resources and Hydropower Engineering – Planning: 120, 60. 11. Hydraulic Structures: 120, 52. 12. Geology of Water Resources and Hydropower Projects: 120, 60. 13. Resettlement Related to Water Resources and Hydropower Projects: 120, 60. 14. Soil and Water Conservation in Water Resources and Hydropower Projects: 120, 52. III. All local authorities are requested to review the examination results against the above passing standards. Once verified, they should compare the relevant data with that held by the Personnel Examination Center of the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Security, fill in the information as required in the attached form, and submit it to the Department of Management of Professional and Technical Personnel of the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Security and the Registration Center for Professional Qualifications of the Ministry of Construction by January 15, 2008. The data submitted will serve as the basis for issuing the qualification certificates. IV. In accordance with the spirit of the document, please announce the passing standards for the exam to the public in a timely manner, and expedite the issuance of qualification certificates as well as all related tasks following the exam.
