Colleagues dedicated to the field of safety, let’s discuss the role and prospects of safety assessment
(Personal opinion) Currently, safety assessments are still something that companies accept passively, merely to meet certain requirements
Companies are forced to do this, and the evaluation agencies cater to these companies’ needs for obtaining evidence, striving to ensure that the evidence meets the required standards; the issues identified in the evaluations are usually superficial, after all, those companies lack the financial resources and are not assertive enough.
If done well, it will serve as an effective safeguard for safe production; but as mentioned above, the current situation is such that the problems are only superficial
Safety assessment was introduced for **good intentions. If the assessment agencies conduct their evaluations thoroughly, companies can use these assessments to improve their management, and design firms can rely on them to enhance safety in their designs; this can indeed help reduce safety accidents.** But the problem is that nowadays both enterprises and evaluation agencies treat it as a mere formality, causing it to lose its true value.
Especially with the current requirements outlined in the regulations regarding hazardous materials, what needs to be discussed with the owner? Ultimately, the independence of the rating company is lost
