After performing simulation calculations on the feed tower, a performance load diagram of the tower is drawn based on its structural parameters. Is there any software that can directly generate such diagrams?
As far as I know, the concept of calculating distillation columns abroad is different from that in China; they have fewer design criteria since their production is relatively stable, whereas in China there are more design requirements. . . .
Plate towers can be used with FRI, but the plate tower calculation software available for FRI has too many limitations, making it quite cumbersome to use. I usually use the tray column calculation sheets I created in Excel for my calculations, which allows me to generate diagrams directly – it’s fast and convenient. For packed towers, SULPAK is generally used to generate a performance load chart showing the pressure drop at elevated temperatures.
