The issue of using stainless steel flexible connections on the carbon steel pipeline of the metering tank

On the unit under construction, the steam heating pipeline of one of the measurement tanks is made of carbon steel, while the flexible connections are made of stainless steel. We are now connecting them together; what material should be used for the bolts on the flanges? ? ? (We are currently using carbon steel.) Last edited by bolinuser on 2008-1-10 12:44]
What medium is flowing inside the pipe? If carbon steel can be used, why use stainless steel? There’s no problem with the connection, but from a technical standpoint and in terms of capital investment, it doesn’t make sense.
Is there no kind-hearted person who can answer my question? I’m quite confused about this issue, because carbon steel bolts can cause corrosion on stainless steel flanges! ! !
1. Use carbon steel bolts, but add insulating washers and sleeves; you can look for them online. 2. Use bolts made of carbon steel that are galvanized or hot-dip galvanized; this seems to be widely used in practical engineering projects, but I still think the approach mentioned above is more scientific.
Screw sleeves can be made from PVC material; the length of these sleeves must be controlled properly to ensure that the bolts meet the required standards when tightened.
