AOL – a better literature search engine than GOOGLE; another way to retrieve articles! Use AOL’s search engine: http://search.aol.com/. You can find many articles that may require payment to access, such as those from IEEE or SPIE. Generally, people who publish articles in reputable journals like IEEE will post them on their own websites, so it’s possible to find such articles there. Google seems to have fewer results compared to AOL. Additionally, just as IEEE and CNKI can generally only be used free of charge on campus at domestic universities, some schools have loopholes such as no IP restrictions, allowing people outside the internal network to use them as well. Something similar probably exists in the United States as well; with AOL, it’s possible to find the connection, and one can simply right-click and save it, while trying to open the connection directly may not work. I found many things that I couldn’t find using AOL; here’s a tip: just enter the keyword you’re looking for along with PDF. Give it a try; you’ll make new discoveries
