For circulating water wastewater (brine), with Ca ions at 2000 ppm and Cl ions at 1000 ppm, is reverse osmosis or electrodialysis a better option? What can be the return water ratio for multi-stage reverse osmosis treatment? 70% is definitely no problem; can it reach 90%?
Whether to use reverse osmosis or electrodialysis depends on the requirements regarding water quality. For higher standards, reverse osmosis is a better choice; the typical recovery rate can be around 70%-80%, with 90% probably not achievable ! !
