What are the methods for treating the scum on the surface of oil sump tanks in various refineries?

Some of our company’s units will need to be shut down soon, and it’s time to clean the oil sumps. There is a lot of scum on the surface of these sumps. I would like to know how various refineries deal with the scum on the surface of their oil sumps So that I can make a choice and take action accordingly. Thank you so much!
The treatment of sludge can be carried out through the following two methods: (1) extracting and separating the oil from the sludge, and burying the remaining solid. (2) The slag is sent to the delayed coking unit for reprocessing, mainly for use in cooling coke in the coke tower
Add some separation agent and heat for separation. Send it to coking for cooling and then reprocessing
They are all indissolvable solid contaminants that were secretly added during transportation
If the amount is small, just burn it in a suitable place. For larger quantities, analyze the composition to assess its usability and decide whether to use it in delayed coking or for oil separation and reuse.
