Our company’s 600,000 tons per year diesel hydrotreating unit experiences frequent flushing of the crude oil filtration backwash system (to the crude oil tank), resulting in significant waste of diesel. May I ask how your units address this issue?
Make the backwash oil tank larger; after it has settled for a while, the diesel in the upper part is drawn back into the diesel feed tank, while the diesel at the bottom is returned to the crude oil tank.
I’m not sure whether the feedstock for your diesel hydrotreating unit is atmospheric pressure diesel or catalytic (or coker) diesel; if it’s atmospheric pressure diesel, there is a method 1: directly reprocessing it in an atmospheric pressure unit; 2. Directly enter it into the hydrogenation feed tank of the device. If coking or catalytic diesel is used, it is the best choice for the hydrogenation feed tank. When feeding directly into the hydrogenation feed tank, be careful: 1. Do not use a tank that has been used before ; 2. Regularly clean the raw material tank ; 3. Raise the outlet of the raw material tank.
1 Make the tank larger to increase the settling time and residence time. Or add another jar to use in rotation. 2 Check if there is a problem with the upstream device. 3 Check the precision of the filter screen. 4 Is the pressure difference control correct?
1. First, check whether the filter element is in good condition. 2. If there are deposits on the filter element, the backwashing effect will be poor; consider whether to use a different type of filter or another backwashing method. 3. The oil is too dirty; use an appropriate filter, etc.
