How is activated carbon regenerated?

Please discuss how to regenerate the following two types of activated carbon 1) Those that have absorbed elemental sulfur 2) Those that have absorbed arsenic: handshake :handshake I previously treated type 1) with alkali, but the effect was average. What other methods do people know?
Our factory uses activated carbon for gas adsorption; heating can release the adsorbed gases, thereby enabling regeneration. As for the use of it for adsorbing sulfur and arsenic, we haven’t experienced that yet; we’d like to hear from those who have
Activated carbon regeneration: Granular activated carbon is regenerated once its adsorption capacity is exhausted. The common method used is heating; the spent carbon is dried and then calcined in a regeneration furnace at around 850°C. Granular activated carbon loses about 5–10% of its mass with each regeneration, and its adsorption capacity decreases with each cycle. The regeneration efficiency has a significant impact on the operating costs of activated carbon filters (that is, on the water treatment expenses).
