Could you be more specific? Does it refer to sodium hypochlorite as a by-product of certain products, or does it merely mean the recycling of sodium hypochlorite?
High purity or containing other impurities
Are you referring to sodium hypochlorite, which is used as a decontaminant in the quiet areas of acetylene production? If that’s the case, I can share my views. In the past, when environmental protection was not a priority, sodium hypochlorite was obtained as waste sodium hypochlorite with low effective chlorine content after passing through a scrubbing tower; this waste was then pumped to the spray cooling tower, where it helped prevent scaling in the tower and reduced the amount of water needed. The wastewater from the cooling tower was used as water for reactions, forming a mixture with calcium carbide slurry, while the supernatant could be reused ; Under current environmental regulations, our factory uses sodium hypochlorite solution in the cooling towers; the water discharged from these towers is sent to the utility treatment systems to meet emission standards. The slurry resulting from the reaction is filtered under pressure and then cooled before being used in the reaction system. Note: This requires consideration of the company’s slurry level balance. If the evaporation loss of slurry water is ignored, it can be assumed that the water is recycled. Therefore, the amount of sodium hypochlorite produced per hour cannot be used directly in the generation system. Slurry water is highly alkaline due to its calcium hydroxide content, making it difficult to handle; only after filtration does the dry residue have a lower water content, at which point sodium hypochlorite can be added to the generation system.
