Our company currently has a sulfur treatment system that combines rotation and absorption; the exhaust gas volume is 23,000 cubic meters per hour, and the level of sulfur dioxide in the exhaust gases is above the allowed limits. It seems there are no good examples; changing it to a two-stage absorption process once and for all is an option, and adding a tail absorption step is also possible. Ammonia can be used to absorb SO2 to produce immonium salts, or the ammonium sulfate can be produced via the amino acid method using liquid SO2.
Based on what you’ve described, it is recommended to switch to a \"3+1\" two-conversion two-absorption system, using Topsoe VK series catalysts. The aforementioned solution has lower operating costs compared to Kangshikang’s regenerated amine absorption method.
