I am using ASPEN PINCH to calculate the thermal pinch point in a heat exchanger network, and I’m not sure how to enter the values for operating costs and capital costs. Taking a vacuum distillation unit with an annual processing capacity of 1.5 million tons as an example, how are the annual operating costs and capital costs of such a heat exchanger network calculated? Could you provide specific details?
Operating costs are generally estimated by referring to similar installations. Investment costs can be calculated based on information regarding equipment, pipes, etc., but an additional 0.1 times the construction cost should be added. This is just my personal opinion for reference only
So what is the standard for the operating costs of similar devices?
