:):time: Currently, only Shanghai Chlor-Alkali and Qilu Petrochemical are using 135-cubic-meter polymerization reactors.
As far as I know, the PVC production units at Shanghai Chlor-Alkali and Qilu Petrochemical are identical to those used by Shin-Etsu in Japan – consisting of 8 polymerization reactors with a capacity of 127 cubic meters each. The designed production capacity at the time of introduction was 200,000 tons; after several upgrades, this capacity increased to around 330,000 tons. The reactors of type 135 are based on technology provided by Western Chemical Company in the United States, and only Qilu Petrochemical uses them. There are two production lines in total, each with three reactors. Three of these reactors are of domestic manufacture, while the other three are Japanese-made. The difference lies in the mixing system: in domestic reactors, the mixing elements are connected in two sections, whereas in foreign reactors they form a single integral shaft. The jacket surrounding these reactors features multiple inlet and outlet ports; there is only one internal cooling shield in the form of a sleeve. The mixing mechanism uses top-mounted agitators, and there is also a reactor condenser. The agitator seems to consist of three layers of horizontal blades. There isn’t much information available regarding the reactors of type 135. There is one photo of such a reactor on the website of Jinhua Machinery, and there are no more than five articles providing detailed information on them. The reported production capacity varies – some sources cite 370,000 tons, while others mention 400,000 tons. It’s not clear whether the production technology has been transferred domestically. Especially, transportation and installation are inconvenient for smaller reactors. I’m not sure what size of reactor is recommended in the chlor-alkali industry; whether larger reactors have lower costs, higher efficiency, and are more competitive. Last edited by wenyuyu on 2008-2-22 19:22.]

Our Shanghai chlor-alkali plant has 8 reactors of 127 capacity! It’s not 135! :lol
Due to the poor PVC market conditions earlier on, Shanghai Chlor-Alkali’s 135-ton reactor has remained in the warehouse and has not been put into use. This post was last edited by yzhms on 2008-6-3 12:31]
Qilu Petrochemical has 8 units of 128 and 6 units of 135, while Ningbo Formosa Plastics has 8 units of 130
Does anyone know what the size of the kettle at Suzhou Huasu is?
Shanghai Chlor-Alkali uses 127-type reactors, a total of 8 units. There is a self-developed 136 polymerization reactor that is not currently in use.
