Could you please advise on what type of level gauge should be used for the level measurement in the gray bin?
We have used radars (which many companies have) as well as continuous level sensors for coal silos (based on capacitive principle, from Weihai Haihe), and their performance has been satisfactory.
Measuring the material level with a radar level gauge or an ultrasonic level gauge should not present any problems.
There are specific considerations to be taken into account when choosing a level sensor for gray silos; I’m not sure what your medium is ? ? ? We have used several types in the past, mainly for measuring very fine powders such as titanium concentrate and titanium dioxide. Initially, we used E+H’s cable-based radars and capacitive sensors, but their performance was extremely poor; they were practically unusable :( Later, we switched to Siemens’ 400 radar, whose performance was quite good:victory: There is also a weight-type level gauge that can be used, but it uses a different measurement method! ! !
