Problem solved - aspen defines SO2 components?

2008-01-14View Original

Thread Content

In aspen, the physical properties of SO2 are in the databank. In databank-fracpcd there are SO2:G1, SO2:S1, SO2: AQ1,SO2: What are these PITZ things? I just want to do S+O2---SO2, but I can't find SO2 using Aspen's default databank. Is there any Aspen information that explains what components are in each databank? No one answered, so I'll give it my own shot.

Thanks for the help, but can you tell me the difference between these components?

Move the mouse to SO2:G1,SO2:S1,SO2: AQ1,SO2: There will be annotations for each of these places in PITZ at the bottom, so that you can understand the differences between them. Or you can press F1 to find the answer from the help file that comes with aspen.

I tried the method above, but still didn't get the answer.

First, use data from different databases to calculate separately to see how different the calculations are. Different databases only have different data sources and some calculation methods.

SO2 in aspen is O2S

Agree with the above. There are regulations for writing the molecular formula of substances in Aspen. It must be CHO first, and then other elements. If you query HCN, you should enter CHN. If you query SO2, you should enter O2S.
