The valves from Shanghai Hongsheng are a bit bulky compared to those from Fengxi. Do you have any better options?
Customers in Zhejiang have also given negative feedback regarding the product over the past five weeks; it seems that this is about the best quality that domestic manufacturers can offer at the moment. It’s normal for such products to be a bit heavy, but as long as they function properly, that’s fine. In my opinion, for critical valves like these, it’s better to opt for imported ones.
If competition takes place in the ball valve category, it will still be difficult for domestic ball valves to surpass those produced by imported manufacturers in terms of quality for some time. It might be better to use a different structure. Initially, Texaco recommended not only ball valves but also gate valves for locking slag valves; however, the latter are expensive and heavy, which is why they have not been widely used in China. Yet in terms of lifespan, gate valves can last several times longer than ball valves. Currently, the quality and performance of the disc valves produced by Shanghai Futaisi in China exceed those of imported disc valves, so people should give them a try.
