How is a wire mesh demister installed? Is the chunk size fixed for large diameters?
After wrapping the mesh, assemble it in sections, and finally press the strips together and rivet them with bolts. The block size doesn’t really matter; as long as it’s convenient to assemble and disassemble. It’s just like dividing a round cake into several pieces and then putting them back together; there shouldn’t be any doubt about that.
Is there any pattern or standard in the segmentation of manufacturers for those wire mesh demisters? What if I finish making the tank now, but when I buy the wire mesh defoamer it doesn’t fit inside? Could such a situation occur?

Well, this segmentation is only in the hands of the manufacturer, so when manufacturing equipment, one should consult the manufacturer first, right?
Our factory purchases the outer shells from others and then manufactures the inner cores ourselves. The manufacturing process isn’t too difficult; what’s needed is stainless steel wire mesh, probably with a mesh size of 100, which is then shaped into strips of uniform width (we use a width of 100 units) according to the drawings provided earlier. These strips are then rolled up on a flat surface, with attention paid to rolling them perpendicular to the flat surface. After that, they are placed on a conical iron plate so that they adhere naturally to it. The degree of looseness should be appropriate to allow for gas circulation, and the rolling process must be done evenly

Large mesh panels are all made in accordance with standards, and they are definitely installed through manholes. Of course, there are special cases where the standards are not followed.
