Hello, everyone! I have a question: The assessment I’ve conducted is intended to be applied to flanges with a cylinder thickness of 10 mm (Q235-B) + 54 mm (16Mn). If considered as a single product with a cylinder thickness of 10 mm, no heat treatment is required; but can the assessment for 40 mm of Q235-B + 16Mn also be applied without heat treatment?
Level it out according to the product requirements. No heat treatment is applied.
No heat treatment is required, in accordance with the provisions in JB/T4709-2000 8.2.2.2.
You need three weld procedure qualifications to support this welded joint: one for welding Q235B materials with a thickness of 10 mm, one for type test weld qualifications for plates with a thickness exceeding 40 mm, and one more for welding plates with a thickness of 40 mm.
