Many chemical plants, including those involved in coal chemistry, are equipped with flares. The recovery and utilization of the heat generated by these flares can help save energy. Where is this recovered heat utilized? Like coal boilers... looking forward to everyone’s insights :)
1. A new combustion furnace and waste boiler (similar to the air blowing recovery device used in small nitrogen fertilizer plants) will be installed in parallel with the flare system; under normal conditions, the flare gas is sent to this device to generate steam, while in emergency situations it is sent to the flare. 2. Construct a new vertical kiln for drying fuel coal (such as a Krupp drying unit), and use its high-temperature flue gas to dry the fuel coal; this helps to reduce boiler consumption and prevents wet coal from forming bridges inside the coal storage area.
